Goose on the Shelf

Olga Krinsky (Geula)

Here, the goose is stripped of everything except presence. It rests between vulnerability and trust, held by a shelf, light, and its own shadow.

Olga Krinsky (Geula) · In the studio

I paint the moment when light becomes more important than form.

Olga Krinsky, working under the artist name Geula, is a contemporary visual artist based in Israel. Her practice grows from close looking, tactile memory, and an intuitive attention to quiet emotion.

Geese, small figures, familiar objects, windows, and shadows become a personal vocabulary of protection and inner space. The paintings invite the viewer to slow down and notice what remains when the noise falls away.
